SAMPLE #2: PLAIN-TEXT COVER LETTER (aka “E-NOTE”)

Here is a “fancy” cover letter that also won a first-place award. NO graphics, color, or formatting. The letter is effective because the story is well written and makes a clear call to action. Prior example – ¬†just as effective – and used graphics, ¬†formatting, color. Key point: the success of your cover letter (email) depends on persuasive writing and not graphics:
